Davie Brenegar, LPC/A

Greenville, SC Counselor l Davie Brenegar

Hello, I’m Davie.

I’ve always been drawn to working with people through relationship building. I provide counseling to teenagers and parents facing transitional anxiety, as well as individuals and couples dealing with relational stress. I also have worked with postpartum women, individuals dealing with acute and complex trauma, grief and loss, as well as anxiety and depression.

Background

Almost all of my background involves working with people in some way shape or form. I worked at an outdoor adventure summer camp that focused on facilitating growth through nurturing friendships and providing a safe place to explore new skills in nature. After college I worked for a campus ministry focused on reaching college students with the good news of the Gospel (you are never so good that you aren’t in need of God’s grace, and you are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace), and equipping them to use their unique gifts in their context. After working in vocational ministry, I realized my unique gifts were suited to counseling, and I decided to go back to school. I worked in an integrated care facility throughout school and directly after school, working with a wide variety of clients.

I have worked with a wide variety of clients with various mental health and interpersonal concerns. Personal Qualities

When I’m not working with clients, I love spending time outside with my friends and family. I grew up in Western North Carolina, and nothing feels more like home to me than hiking through Appalachia. While I love being outside, I also love being at home cooking and eating with friends and watching really good TV. I love a good story, and probably pay for just about every streaming service. My husband and I have been married for almost four years, and just recently moved to Greenville. We are enjoying exploring new-to-us coffee shops and restaurants and getting outside on the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
